Goal

To feed hungry children both physically and spiritually with a hot meal and Bible study 5 days a week.

Project Overview

Global Cross has supported ministry and missions in Tepano and Diriamba since 2014, addressing critical community needs. In this region, many children face extreme hardship, often being forced to leave home between ages 9-12 to find work or marriage due to family poverty. Most local families can only afford 3-4 meals per week, and these meals lack sufficient protein to support children's nutritional needs and immune system development.

Current Status

Since October 2015, we have operated a feeding kitchen 5 days a week in Tepano, feeding approximately 40-60 children both physically and spiritually. We see a lot of fruit from this ministry as the children learn to recite Bible verses, sing Christian songs, and most importantly, many have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. God led us to establish another feeding kitchen in Diriamba, about 20 miles from Tepano, where we average around 15-20 children a day. We currently have many children waiting to be sponsored. With each sponsorship of $30/month for small children and $50/month for teenagers, the kids will receive a hot meal 5 days a week, a Bible lesson, school supplies, and certain medical attention when needed.

Our goal is to feed each child 5 meals a week that consist of rice, beans, and bread, along with a protein (meat) at least three times per week. Please consider making a monthly donation.
